The Lech Lecha Foundation
A registered Canadian charity strengthening Jewish nonprofits and empowering young Jewish women building families — with practical education, resources, and community.
Our Foundation
Jewish organizations do real work. We help them do it better. Whether it is religious education, practical programming, or the operational support that keeps a nonprofit running — we fill the gaps.
We are based in Canada, but our reach is global. Our work covers three areas: religious life, practical education for women, and the essential activities that support these charitable goals.
Supporting the teaching and practice of Judaism. We focus on Torah study and the observances that connect people to their heritage.
Practical classes for women covering nutrition, mental health, finance, and self-improvement. Real skills for real life — not just inspiration.
The behind-the-scenes work that keeps nonprofits healthy. We provide the resources needed for organizations to actually grow and succeed.
How We Work
Lech Lecha does not run flashy campaigns or chase headlines. We do the unglamorous work that keeps Jewish organizations standing: covering an operating shortfall, funding a teacher's role, or helping a small nonprofit put its books in order. Most of what we do never makes a newsletter — and that is exactly the point.
We start by listening. Every organization we partner with gets a real conversation about what it actually needs, not a one-size-fits-all grant. Some need program funding. Others need help with governance, compliance, or the day-to-day operations that decide whether a charity survives its third year. We meet each one where it is.
Our second focus is the people inside these communities — especially young Jewish women raising families. Through practical classes in nutrition, mental health, personal finance, and self-improvement, we hand them tools they can use the same week they learn them. Strong families and strong organizations reinforce one another, so we invest in both.
What We Do
Each area stands on its own. Together, they cover what a Jewish organization needs to thrive and stay stable.
01 — Jewish Life
We support Torah study and Jewish practice. We help communities maintain the observances they build their lives around.
02 — Wellness
Nutrition, mental health, and personal stability classes for women. We teach things that make a difference in the day-to-day life of a community.
03 — Growth
Classes on finance and self-improvement provide people with tools they can use immediately to strengthen themselves and their organizations.
